2020-08-15Departure from Les Cies at 11am, with a moderate wind from the NW allows us to go sailing.Arrived at Leixões (Porto trade and fishing port) at 9 p.m., we anchored in front of the marina for the night.
Tuesday August 11 being expected without wind, we went to the center of Porto by boat.We went up the Douro to Ponte Luis I tasting a glass of Port to honor the city. On the way back we anchored in front of Marina Douro for lunch.
At the end of the afternoon we returned to the port of Leixões to have dinner in Esquina do Avesso, in Leca da Palmeira, in an excellent restaurant 2 steps from the Marina (thank you Luis, always with good advice).

Wednesday 12 at 1 p.m. departure towards the bay of Aveiro at 33 MN. A wind of NNW of 10 knots pushed us all afternoon. It was great, dolphins accompanied us part of the way.
We crossed the Aveiro pass around 4:30 p.m. Richard had not returned for 25 years. We spent the night after an aperitif with Caipi in front of São Jacinto in the middle of a multitude of small fishing boats.
Thursday 13th, get up at 8 am, after a hearty breakfast we leave for Nazaré at 67 MN. The forecast had told us from 6 to 14 knots NW, let us dream of a beautiful day of sailing like the previous day …. despite our desire, we could only do 2 hours of sailing in the fog. The sun did not come back until 2pm but “not wind” ….We arrived in Nazaré at 7 p.m. ….
Our friend Jean Pierre was waiting for us on the quay to take us to dinner with his family at the restaurant. They then guided us on a night tour of Nazaré and Sitio.
Friday 14th, Jean Pierre took us to the market, after having had breakfast together in a bar in face of the sea, tasting delicious “Pasteis de Nata” that he brought.
At 1:00 p.m. heading to a restaurant inland (O’castigo !!!) where we ate excellent cuts of beef, then visit and walk in Alcobaça.
